dallin was sitting on the back of the chaise lounge (which is facing away from the computer nook - he was watching something that tanner was doing on the computer) - anyway, aaron saw him fall out of the corner of his eye and all of a sudden he is screaming (head down, feet up) behind the lounge. aaron grabbed him by the feet and yanked him up to find a lot of blood gushing out of dallin's eyebrow. he smacked it on the corner of the ledge just right as to split it down to the bone. after a lot of panicking and rushing around, aaron finally got him into the car to head to the hospital. when he got to the ER, it looked like this:
i know this is gross...he actually didn't cry at all in the ER - even when the numbing/cleansing stuff they put in it didn't take to the bottom half of the laceration. aaron noticed he was tensing up and had to ask him if it hurt. they had to give him a couple of shots so they could finish sewing him up. he came home around 10pm with 8 stitches and a chocolate shake from mcdonald's.

We haven't done stitches yet... though I thought Cale would have(last week) - both my boys have forehead scars now! It must be the cool boy thing to do! :)
Oh, no! I would have freaked. Though Sydney has had a broken wrist already, I think the stitches would have been much worse on my stomach. (and right around Christmas, too! how lovely! It's good Aaron was home when this happened, though.)
I'm so glad you blog!!
Did you really have to post a photo of the pre-stitched wound? Yuck! Glad he's okay.
