June 2010

June was a crazy-busy-insane month for all of us.  I started my 2 summer courses (8 credits in 5 weeks - needless to say that will NEVER happen again unless I have a full time nanny, chef and maid), Jon & Tara adopted a baby (yay!), Dallin had 2 T-ball games a week, Aaron and I took a getaway to Duluth for our anniversary and a marathon.  We got some good pics with that new camera - here are some highlights.

We did it!!  (Sooo not fair that Shannon looks like she just stepped out of a salon!!)

May 2010

In May, when the weather in Minnesota is bearable again, the kids had their fun run at school.  Apparently this is when I got my new camera (thank goodness).  Here are some fun pics of the kids and a couple cute ones of Tanner.

April 2010

I don't know how long I went without a camera, but apparently it was a lot longer than I thought.  I'm not sure where these ones came from, but they were kinda random and very few.  Here's some Easter shots we got (ignore our pitiful yard as it's trying to recover from a very snowy winter and neglectful owners...)
So angelic...just don't take his chocolate bunny away.
I'm pretty sure the Easter Bunny didn't make a trip up the tree...she looks cute up there though, doesn't she?
Not quite sure what happened to the basket, but I guess it did it's job.
Kaylee hard at work.

March 2010

Tanner turned 3 in March.  Of course Jon & Tara came over to spoil their little buddy.  They got him a train puzzle that toots when the puzzle is finished.  I was still without a camera, so Tara emailed me these ones.

February 2010

Not much happened in February - I only had a handful of pics because of the dead camera.  However I did find this video of my papa giving the kids a wagon ride to the school so they could play on the playground.  I'm not quite sure how he got all four kids crammed into Tanner's wagon.  It's kinda long, but you can get an idea of how silly my dad can get.  It was mortifying in junior high, but he's an incredible grampa!  I couldn't stop laughing.  Tanner reminds me of that kid in "A Christmas Story" - when he's not trying to roll out of the wagon, he's just laying there like a slug.

January 2010

So the most exciting thing that happened in January was Emma's baptism.  She looked beautiful, as always.  Grandparents came in from Utah and California and Christina came down from the Twin Cities.

I wish I got more pictures, but my camera died right after this one was taken.  I scrounged up the one below in her "pretty" dress, but thank goodness my friend Shannon took tons of pictures with her fancy new camera.  Now I just need to find the CD she gave me...

In January we also had some hoarfrost, so I had to take some pictures.  It was breathtaking!

This was one of the trees on the way to Mapleton.  I remember we went to breakfast at ToKen BBQ (owned by our friends Tony & Lori) and the drive down was a winter wonderland!

This is the crab tree right outside the kitchen window.  It's my favorite tree because it's gorgeous all year round (it's actually in the neighbors yard.)  In the spring it blooms bright pink, the summer is leafy with red berries, when the leaves fall the berries turn orange and this is what it looks like in the winter.

Back on the air...

So...um...hi.

I'm sure you all don't want to hear all the many, many excuses as to why I haven't posted anything for 7 long months.  So I won't blame it on the kids or my schooling or the marathon or church stuff...

The good news is that I have some time before fall semester starts to do a quick update of each month I've missed and then I will recommit to being a faithful blogger.   My goal is to be completely updated by Sunday evening.

I'm also looking forward to catching up on reading all the blogs I follow!
